The Flex vest is designed to look more like a casual sleeveless jacket than standard cooling apparel, which typically looks alot like a life vest. Perfect for casual or professional environments where you want to stay cool without standing out.
GlacierPacks can be hand-washed with warm water and dish soap. If desired, isopropyl alcohol may be used for disinfection. Rinse and towel dry before use.
Flex vests can be washed by hand and line-dried, or by machine on a delicate wash cycle with a tumble dry.

How it Works:
The cooling vest has 12 interior pockets that hold packs snug against the torso. The charged packs will pull heat out of the body’s core which will lower effectively lowering the users body temperature and delivering a sensation of cooling. It is simple science, no gimmicks here. The Ways to Charge Glacier Packs:
• Submerge your packs in ice water for 30 minutes (or in a mountain stream!)
• Place the packs in your freezer for one hour
• Place the packs in your refrigerator for two hours
How to Use:
1. GlacierPack sets must be charged before each use.
2. Insert two GlacierPacks, one large and one small, into each exterior pocket
3. Adjust vest side straps and should straps to fit. The cooling vest is most effective when worn snugly around your torso. Your vest can be worn over your T-shirt, your uniform or whatever you prefer.
I had a crystal-type cooling vest that was economical and it cooled me well for up to an hour. The Glacier Tek cools as advertised! The vest material is very light-weight and having the cooling packs removable means the vest can be washed if needed. The cooling packs work very well and as described. One can 'charge' the packs and then put them in a Yeti or other brand cooler for later use. The first time I used my Glacier Tek I charged the packs and then put them in a cooler with an ice pack and some bottled water. Seven hours later the packs were still solid (ready for use) and I put them in the vest and enjoyed the cooling for 90 minutes until I got home. Glacier Tek cooling vests are well worthwhile.
While this year didn’t have days as hot as last year, it did have longer heat streaks. And I, being a person who overheats easily, would have been miserable. Even more so as my vehicle does not have air conditioning. However, the Flex Vest saved me from the heat. It’s slim, so it fits under my office clothes easier, and I am able to drive comfortably while wearing it. I got the black one to match many of my clothes; to the casual observer, it looks like an undershirt, which is great for me, especially when I am giving a tour of our facilities.
If you are like me and overheat easily, and you still need to look professional, I highly recommend this vest. It’s lightweight, easy to wear, and most importantly, it keeps me cool. Top marks.
I have the original vest and have absolutely loved it but it is a little short on me so I use the extended straps. This vest is longer and fits great. Because there are no shoulder straps to Velcro, it is more comfortable under clothing. Excellent new product
I purchased a Flex Vest, and additional set of cooling packs, 7 years ago. It changed my summers! I am now able to work outdoors in the heat for up to 5 hours. The cooling packs last for 2- 2 1/2 hours, then I substitute another set that I’ve had in a cooler. Before finding the Glacier Tek Flex Vest, I experienced heat exhaustion. That no longer occurs. My old vest still works, with some minor sewing repairs, and a new set of cooling packs purchased 2 years ago. Online now to upgrade to a new Sports Vest.
